Job description

UX Researcher II, Global Procurement Technology

Stellen-ID: 10433838 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Amazon's Global Procurement Organization is on a mission to transform how procurement works at Amazon scale. We build the technology that powers billions of dollars in purchasing decisions, and we need a UX Research & Design Lead to shape the future of that experience. In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end UX research and design for both external-facing and internal-facing procurement tools used across Amazon's global operations.
  • Conduct user research, usability studies, and data analysis to deeply understand customer needs and translate insights into design decisions.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to simplify complex user journeys, drive efficiency, and reimagine how teams interact with procurement systems.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous, large-scale problems into intuitive experiences.
  • Spend the majority of your time (75%) planning and conducting user research — from generative discovery through evaluative testing — to uncover how people understand, trust, and interact with AI systems. The remaining 25% will be hands‑on UX design work, translating research insights into interaction concepts, prototypes, and design artifacts.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact.
  • Experience (end-to-end) with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).
  • Experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design, and usage of multiple methods within a study.
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas).
  • Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
  • Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology.
  • Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics.
  • Experience conducting and applying research in a global context.
  • Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology.
  • Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics.
  • Experience conducting and applying research in a global context.
  • Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment.
