Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a User Experience Researcher to influence the Peacock product by conducting studies across the viewing experience. You will work with Product, Design, Analytics, and Product Marketing to evaluate concepts and research projects that shape new initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Director of User Research, you will synthesize insights, communicate findings, and help drive user-centric product decisions in a hybrid work environment with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX research experience.
  • Experience executing product research from design to reporting.
  • Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Ability to translate insights into product recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with designers, PMs, and data analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on consumer product and device experiences.
  • Partner with Designers, PMs, Data Analysts to define research questions.
  • Support the User Research roadmap and align with KPI goals.
  • Communicate findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage vendors on specific projects as needed.
  • Apply innovative methodologies and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows.
  • Champion a consumer-centric mindset across the organization.

The Role:

TheUser ExperienceResearcher will play an influential role inshaping the future of the Peacock product. Theperson in theposition willexecutea variety ofstudieswith impact across thePeacockviewingexperience— answering questions like: what do idealbrowsing experienceslook like and how do they differ across devices, what do subscribers need to feel confident intheir content decisions,andhow dosports audiencesdiscoverinnovative features?Reporting to the Senior Director of User Research and Consumer Insights, they will collaborate with cross functional partners across Product, Design, Analytics, and Product Marketing, and willconductresearch evaluating productconcepts, experiences, anddecisions, as well asprojectsthat gives shape tonewproduct initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting, analyzing, and synthesizing research on multiple aspects of consumer product and device experiences
  • Working with Designers, Product Managers, Data Analysts, and other UX Researchers to define and researchquestions andidentifyopportunitiesfor insightsin a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Supporting the User Research roadmap, working with your manager and other UX Researchers to ensure stakeholder and product needs are met andaligned to achieve organizational KPIs and goals
  • Communicating and socializing research findings effectively, translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Vendor management, asneededon specific projects
  • Leveraging innovative research methodologies and AI-enabled tools to streamline efficient and repeatable workflows
  • Championing a consumer-centric mindset throughout the organization
RequiredQualifications:
  • 5+ years ofexperienceconductingUXresearchincluding experienceexecutingproductresearchprojectsfromstudydesign throughfielding, synthesis, and reporting
  • Skilled atemployinga number ofqualitative and quantitativeresearch methods—includingsurveys,moderated and unmoderated usability studies,in-depthinterviews,diary studies,card sortexercises,etc.
  • Understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product developmentlifecycle
  • Familiarity with statistics andexperience usingsurvey tools like Qualtrics
  • Demonstrated success using data and insights to influence product decisions and impactproductdirection
  • Ability to connect insights and themes across research projects
  • Balance ofeffort across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clearwritten and verbal communication,strongdatastorytellingand presentation skills
  • Experience partnering closely with designers, product managers, and data analysts
Desirable Characteristics:
  • A genuine passion for entertainment and media, and a deep curiosity about culture and trends as they relate to products and user experiences
  • Demonstrated experience:
  • Designing and executingquantitative researchacross a variety of analytical approaches
  • Researchingstreaming products, sports experiences, and/or mobile games
  • Managing projects and working in a large, matrixed organization
  • Basic understanding ofbehavioral user analytics and how to incorporate behavioral analytics into UX research efforts
Additional Requirements:
  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible).
