Job summary

Nintendo of America in Redmond, WA offers a 10-week UX Research Internship focused on understanding consumer experiences with digital strategies. You will conduct user research, usability testing, and create design concepts under mentoring from a cross-functional team.

The internship runs June through August, with 40 hours per week onsite. Applicants must be 3.0+ GPA, enrolled in a related degree, and eligible to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 3.0+ GPA required.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in HCI, UX, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Science or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, data analysis).
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills to document and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Nintendo's Customer Experience team to conduct user research and deepen understanding of consumer experiences with digital strategies.
• Assist with user research and usability testing by preparing study materials, observing sessions, documenting findings, and identifying recurring user needs and pain points.
• Create UX design concepts and prototypes such as user flows, wireframes, and interactive mockups for Nintendo's digital experiences.
• Evaluate customer feedback and behavioral insights to identify issues and design recommendations.
• Collaborate with UX, Analytics, and partner teams to contribute to customer-centered projects.
• Present research findings and design recommendations through documentation and team presentations.
