Job summary

Pinterest is seeking inquisitive UX Quantitative Research interns in the US. You will work with mentors across product, design, data, and engineering to design surveys, model attitudes, and translate findings into narratives that inform product decisions.

The internship requires enrollment in a PhD program and will advance your experience with data-driven storytelling and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing PhD in statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, computer science or related field.
• Experience with survey methodology, including developing surveys and analyzing data.
• Strong foundation in descriptive, inferential and multivariate statistics, and experimental design.
• Proficient using Python, R, or SQL; able to tell a complete narrative with data.

Responsibilities

• Influence and evolve product roadmap using data and exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and opportunities for product innovation.
• Design and conduct surveys to gather insights on Pinner, Merchant, Creator, or Advertiser sentiments.
• Combine survey results with log data to explore attitudes and behaviors.
• Communicate key insights cross-functionally with product managers, engineers and designers.
