Job summary
The University of Kansas is seeking a User Experience Specialist to support the quality and continuous improvement of KU's digital ecosystem. You will provide technical UX expertise, conduct prelaunch reviews, analyze behavior, and translate findings into improvements across KU websites and applications.
Collaborate with UX designers, developers, content teams, marketing, and campus partners to enhance accessibility, usability and information architecture while supporting governance and training
Qualifications
- Five years of professional experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- Experience applying website accessibility concepts such as WCAG.
- UX/UI task experience and ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with design, development and content teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct prelaunch UX/QA reviews of KU websites for accessibility, content, IA, branding and SEO.
- Document findings and track remediation before launch and verify corrections.
- Develop reports and dashboards from analytics tools and translate into actionable recommendations.
- Consult with campus partners to improve usability, accessibility and consistency of digital experiences.
- Participate in governance, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
