Job summary

Pixel Movement, a fully remote studio crafting a mobile strategy game, seeks a Senior UX Designer to own the player experience across the game client and supporting features. You will partner with design, product, and UI art to transform complex systems into intuitive player flows.

You will audit the player journey, guide UX decisions with evidence, and mentor a junior designer. Collaboration occurs in Figma and engine builds within a flexible 9 AM–5 PM ET window.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX design experience, including mobile-first games or applications.
• Ability to translate complex systems into clear, accessible user flows and interactions.
• Experience solving design challenges such as asynchronous play and cash-based rewards.
• Proven track record in gaming or transaction-heavy systems (casino, betting, iGaming, fintech).
• Proactive, organized, and able to defend design decisions with data and reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the user experience vision across the game client and platform features (onboarding, menus, progression, match flow, rewards).
• Audit the current player journey and design an intuitive navigation from install to cash-out.
• Collaborate with Game Design, Product, and UI Art teams in Figma and in-engine builds.
• Simplify transitions between platforms, matches, and payout for clarity and smooth flow.
• Mentor and develop a junior UX designer with feedback and hands-on opportunities.
• Incorporate user research and A/B testing, coordinating with external vendors when needed.
• Drive a player-first mindset and set quality benchmarks with cross-team alignment.
