Job summary

Auger seeks a frontend role focused on turning design intent into working UI, from early sketches to shipped product. You’ll prototype iteratively, advocate for the end user in cross-functional discussions, and move fluidly between design and code without losing fidelity.

You will collaborate with designers, researchers, and product partners to ship accessible, production-grade UI using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS, with a strong emphasis on end-user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, HCI, Design or related field.
• 4+ years experience at the intersection of design and engineering.
• Proficiency with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Experience with Azure or a comparable cloud platform.
• Strong command of accessibility standards and polished UI.
• Prototyping tools and workflows, with good judgment for prototypes.
• Ability to interpret between designers, engineers, and product.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the connective tissue between design and engineering, translating design intent into working UI grounded in technical reality.
• Build prototypes early and often to surface issues before timelines and budgets.
• Advocate for UX in cross-functional discussions, addressing content strategy, direction, and complexity.
• Implement polished, accessible UIs with strong programming fundamentals, fluent in design and code.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, and product partners to streamline UX processes.
