Job summary

The American Society for Hematology (ASH) seeks a Web Design Specialist to implement UX-focused updates to the ASH website within our CMS, collaborating with the Digital Content and Web Specialists.

You will create or curate digital media assets that reinforce branding, support campaigns, and ensure accessibility and usability across ASH domains. This role requires a strong eye for detail and teamwork with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of proven experience in web and digital content design.
• Expertise in web content development, web content management systems, content marketing, and user experience/user design principles.
• Must have proficiency with Figma or other wireframing tools.
• Must have proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or other graphic design tools.

Responsibilities

• Works with Digital Content Specialist and Web Specialist to update or create pages in the CMS.
• Creates and optimizes digital media assets for use on the website, emails, and social media.
• Collaborates with IT and Strategy teams to implement UI/UX improvements.
• Enhances website visuals to support branding and campaign messaging.
• Maintains a consistent visual identity across ASH’s digital properties.
• Consults with stakeholders to ensure accessibility and usability best practices.
• Tests and reviews changes to the website and CMS with consultants.
