Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Web Designer within Hartford Funds' Marketing Design team to blend graphic design with hands-on front-end coding. You will hand-code HTML/CSS, build wireframes, and manage data-driven product pages within CMS/DAM systems while upholding brand standards.

You'll collaborate with senior designers, strategists, writers, and IT to deliver accessible, responsive web experiences and leverage AI-assisted development to improve speed and quality of pages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in web design or related field.
• Proficiency hand-coding HTML and CSS.
• Ability to read/modify JavaScript.
• Graphic design skills with Photoshop.
• UI/UX, responsive design and accessibility basics.
• Experience with CMS/DAM publishing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain web pages that are accessible and user-friendly.
• Hand-code HTML/CSS and front-end enhancements.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Publish content in CMS/DAM and manage metadata.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch projects.
• QA live pages and ensure accuracy of product pages.
• Apply AI tools to assist coding and development.
