Job summary

New York Life Direct is seeking a Digital Designer (UX) for a 6-month contract in Tampa, FL. Hybrid work: Mon/Fri remote; Tue–Thu onsite. You’ll design across web, email and marketing assets, building on-brand experiences and contributing to faster, more consistent output.

You’ll produce in Figma, migrate legacy Adobe XD files, and apply UX best practices to user flows, accessibility, and design system usage. This is a hands-on role for an early-career designer with curiosity about AI tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital/UX/UI design across web and email.
• Strong layout, typography, and visual design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with accessibility and UX best practices.
• Ability to migrate assets between design tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce digital designs in Figma for web pages, emails, banners and assets.
• Convert Adobe XD files into structured, clean Figma files following components.
• Apply UX best practices by mapping user flows and designing intuitive experiences.
• Flag usability issues, inconsistencies, or opportunities to improve an experience.
• Use AI and productivity tools to speed up production and prototyping.
• Build and maintain reusable components and contribute to the design system.
• Support routing, proofing, and final release of creative assets with teams.
