Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX Director based in United States.

This is a senior design leadership opportunity focused on transforming how product design and research are delivered across a complex B2B SaaS environment.

You will define multi-quarter design strategy while directly influencing product direction and investment at the executive level.

The role combines organizational leadership with hands‑on experimentation around AI‑native, codebase‑anchored design workflows.

You will reshape the design operating model by embedding designers into product‑line teams and creating closer alignment with Product and Engineering.

The position also places strong emphasis on enterprise UX, accessibility, research, behavioral data, and design systems as scalable product infrastructure.

You will build and develop a high‑performing design organization while establishing a culture of direct feedback, collaboration, speed, and strong design perspectives.

Reporting directly to the CPO, you will have significant influence over both the design organization and the evolution of the broader product experience.

Accountabilities
  • Define and execute the multi-quarter design vision across the platform and AI-powered product lines, advocating for design investment at the executive level.
  • Rebuild the design operating model by moving from a centralized workflow to decentralized pods embedded within product-line teams.
  • Establish AI-native design practices in which designers work directly with the codebase to create interactive, implementation-accurate prototypes grounded in the real product environment.
  • Foster fast, collaborative workflows between designers and product managers, encouraging shared ownership and customer-focused decision‑making.
  • Govern the design system as cross-team infrastructure that improves design and engineering velocity across the product.
  • Drive B2B UX excellence across complex, data-dense, multi-persona enterprise workflows while maintaining WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
  • Integrate qualitative research and behavioral analytics into roadmap-level decisions through usability testing and tools such as FullStory, Pendo, or similar platforms.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber designers who are motivated to advance AI-enabled design practices.
  • Establish a direct, supportive, and high-performing design culture built around constructive feedback, collaboration, and strong points of view.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of UX or product design experience, including significant leadership responsibility and a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change.
  • Proven experience defining and executing design strategy at the organizational level, including hiring and developing senior design talent.
  • Strong B2B SaaS experience, with an understanding of enterprise buying cycles and the research needs of complex business users.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI-augmented design workflows, including specific examples of tools, processes, and interactive work produced.
  • A demonstrated commitment to staying current with AI-enabled design through training, professional cohorts, peer networks, or similar development.
  • A clear perspective on managing the overlap between Product Management and Design within AI-enabled builder workflows through shared ownership and collaboration.
  • Proven experience building and governing design systems that operate as infrastructure across multiple teams.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and their application to digital products.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, with equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience in cybersecurity or another regulated or enterprise-trust environment is preferred.
  • Experience scaling a design organization through growth or product expansion is preferred.
  • Experience establishing agile, pod-based design operating models and developing design leadership pipelines is advantageous.
  • Comfort engaging directly with customers, including live and collaborative research or product sessions, is a plus.
Benefits
  • Estimated total compensation of $280,000–$330,000, including base salary and bonus.
  • Eligibility for annual performance-based incentive compensation and equity.
  • Competitive health benefits.
  • Stock options.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Additional country-specific benefits and employee programs.
