Job summary

Google seeks an Interaction Designer for YouTube Live to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences for billions of users. You will craft flows, wireframes, and prototypes, collaborating with engineers and product managers to bring ideas to life with a refined, magical feel.

You’ll apply user-centered methods from concept to execution, working within Google's design language to build innovative live streaming experiences across mobile and desktop.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive the design process for YouTube Live features from ideation to launch.
• Translate complex problems into intuitive design solutions for live streaming and interactive experiences.
• Create design artifacts: flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes to communicate intent.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and researchers to define requirements and ensure feasibility and coherence.
• Contribute to YouTube's design system to maintain visual and experiential consistency across mobile and desktop.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132000 - $189000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Drive the design process for features within YouTube Live across mobile and desktop, from ideation to launch with minimal guidance.
  
• Translate complex problems and user needs into simple, high-quality, and intuitive design solutions for live streaming and interactive experiences.
  
• Produce a range of design artifacts, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes, effectively communicating design intent.
  
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to define requirements, explore concepts, and ensure technical feasibility and design consistency.
  
• Utilize and contribute to YouTube's design system, ensuring visual and experiential coherence across YouTube Live features on both mobile and desktop.
