About The Role

We’re seeking a Senior UX Designer who is passionate about solving problems, refining experiences through data-driven decisions, and designing impactful user-centered solutions. This role will involve working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to shape digital products and services used by researchers around the world. You will take ownership of UX efforts from discovery to implementation and contribute to building our internal design function.

This is a fully remote role available to applicants based in specific U.S. states. A portfolio must be submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Own UX projects from discovery through delivery, focusing on user-first outcomes
• Partner with product managers to define problem spaces, scope, and hypotheses
• Create and test prototypes to validate hypotheses and inform iterative design decisions
• Collaborate with developers to ensure precise implementation of design solutions
• Establish and maintain consistency across visual touchpoints
• Participate in building the in-house design practice and contribute to design systems
• Apply WCAG accessibility standards to your work
• Use user research, feedback, and testing to continuously improve digital services
• Translate complex information into intuitive and accessible interfaces
• Communicate design constraints effectively and offer practical solutions
• Work across multiple services and systems while maintaining cohesive UX patterns
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
• Proven experience as a UX Designer in agile environments
• Strong background in graphic, interaction, and service design
• Hands-on experience with designing systems, components, and responsive UIs
• Proficient in web typography, color, hierarchy, iconography, and information architecture
• Experience using design to meet accessibility (WCAG 2.1/2.2) standards
• Ability to simplify complex data into user-friendly interfaces
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end design ownership
• Skilled in prototyping and visualizing design concepts and workflows
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Salary range: $105,000–$145,000 (based on experience)
