Job summary

Swoon is seeking an experienced UX Designer to join a cross-functional, Agile team focused on creating user-centered digital experiences. You will lead UX design, IA, user research, and project management, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable UX systems.

Responsibilities include designing interfaces for web and mobile apps, producing wireframes, prototypes, and design specs, and iterating based on usability insights and development feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Human Factors, CS, Visual Design, Library Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in UX design or a similar field.
• Hands-on experience designing native iOS and Android applications.
• Proficiency with Axure, Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience working with developers in an Agile environment from concept through implementation.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and current web/mobile trends.
• Experience with moderated and remote usability testing tools.
• Experience creating responsive, adaptive, and accessible designs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines, product lines, locations, and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Define user stories and UX deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flows for digital applications.
• Create wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
• Develop and maintain detailed design specifications and reusable design patterns.
• Rapidly iterate designs for usability testing and development handoff.
• Design responsive, adaptive, and accessible experiences.
• Influence product decisions using UX research and business requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to identify effective implementation solutions.
• Translate business rules into scalable UX systems for enterprise solutions.
• Create and distribute UX documentation: navigation flows, wireframes, use cases, prototypes, content requirements.
