Job summary

• Strong foundation in UX design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with Figma, including components, tokens, auto-layout and design systems.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a Design Language System (DLS).
• Excellent communication and ability to document design decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional product teams.
• Willingness to travel to Baxter or customer sites and meet hospital credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces aligned with established standards and guidelines including Baxter design patterns, W3C, Google Material Design, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and Android Design Guidelines.
• Participate in user research activities such as customer interviews and usability studies to understand user needs.
• Create high-fidelity UI prototypes for usability testing and stakeholder demonstrations.
• Plan and support usability testing, including writing test plans, moderating sessions, and documenting findings.
• Develop and maintain UX documentation and design specifications.
• Provide UX recommendations to cross-functional teams to improve product usability and workflow.
• Work independently while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Use engineering project tools and methodologies to track and communicate work progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree inHuman Factors, UX Design, HCI, or a related field(or equivalent experience)
• 5+ yearsof relevant UX design experience
