Our Consulting Workforce is encouraged to enjoy career fulfillment in the form of challenging projects, schedule flexibility, and paid training/certifications. Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE.

eNGINE is hiring a pair of UX Designers to support major product upgrades for medical device products. This role requires a true end-to-end design generalist—someone equally comfortable with digital GUI, physical device interactions, and the full UX lifecycle from discovery through production-ready design.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and contribute to end-to-end UX design across digital and physical products
  • Translate marketing and business requirements into clear design investigations and technical specifications
  • Drive work through discovery, definition, and iterative design phases
  • Create designs and prototypes at varying fidelities—from lo-fi concepts to production-ready artifacts
  • Design and refine GUI experiences used by physicians and clinical users (ZPM platform and related tools)
  • Contribute to and uphold design standards and design systems, ensuring consistency across products
  • Create wireframes, flows, interaction models, and high-fidelity visual designs using Figma
  • Develop digital and physical prototypes to support usability testing and verification activities
  • Conduct and support user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews
  • Present design work clearly and confidently to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure feasibility and smooth handoff into development
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of professional UX design experience
  • Experience designing both digital interfaces and physical device interactions
  • Background in medical devices, healthcare, or home healthcare strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work as a generalist, contributing across research, interaction design, UI, and systems
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly walk stakeholders through design decisions
  • Portfolio demonstrating process depth, tradeoffs, and real-world outcomes (“meat on the bone”)
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (required)
  • Strong experience with FigJam, Miro, or similar collaboration tools
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience creating:
  • Wireframes and interaction models
  • High-fidelity UI designs
  • Digital and physical prototypes
  • Information architecture and style guides
  • Strong understanding of User-Centered Design principles
  • Experience designing for web, mobile, and embedded GUI environments
  • Ability to document design decisions and present to both technical and non-technical audiences
