About The Role
The role owns end-to-end interaction and visual design for core product surfaces - from early exploratory concepts through high-fidelity, developer-ready specs. The team ships web and mobile experiences used by millions of users, so design decisions here directly shape how people discover, understand, and complete key product workflows.
The designer will work in a tight loop with product managers, UX researchers, and front-end engineers. This is a hands-on craft role in a mature, well-supported design org: the role benefits from an established design system, a dedicated research team, and leadership that treats design as a strategic function, not a decoration layer.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design of complex product flows end-to-end - from user journey mapping and wireframes through polished hi-fi Figma designs and interactive prototypes
- Design against and contribute to an existing design system (tokens, components, patterns), proposing new components when existing ones fall short
- Partner with UX researchers on usability studies, diary studies, and concept testing; translate findings directly into design iterations
- Run structured design critiques, presenting rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and defending decisions with user evidence
- Work hand-in-hand with front-end engineers during implementation to ensure fidelity, responsiveness, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Contribute to design documentation: flows, edge cases, interaction specs, and annotated handoff files in Figma
- Measure shipped work through analytics, session recordings, and user feedback; identify friction points and drive iterative improvements
What We Are Looking For
- 3-7 years of professional product design experience, including shipping digital products at scale (web and/or mobile)
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, variables, prototyping, and design system workflows
- Strong interaction design fundamentals: information architecture, hierarchy, flow design, and micro-interactions
- Demonstrated ability to use research and data to inform design decisions - comfort running lightweight usability tests or synthesizing research reports
- Portfolio (required at application) showing shipped work with clear problem framing, process, and measurable outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with motion design (After Effects, Rive, or Figma Smart Animate), front-end literacy (HTML/CSS/React basics), or prior work in design systems or accessibility
