Converse is seeking a design leader who can run a team of UX Strategists and Designers while continuing to ship great work personally.

You will mentor the team, own performance, and partner with merchandising, content design, and analytics to drive SEO and product initiatives, while staying hands-on in Figma.

This role values craft, collaboration, and a data-informed approach to ecommerce UX.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of UX/product design experience, including 2+ years managing designers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field; relevant mix OK.
• Portfolio demonstrates expert-level craft and leadership capabilities.
• Experience partnering with SEO stakeholders to shape design strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of UX Strategists and Designers, coaching craft and performance.
• Shape converse.com’s UX strategy with partners in experience strategy and merchandising.
• Develop SEO strategy and processes to support organic search performance.
• Balance portfolio across design, commerce, marketing, and customer service roadmaps.
• Stay hands-on in Figma and guide design work at a staff-plus level.
• Use analytics data to validate design decisions post-launch.
