This role leads a team of UX Strategists and Designers, reports to the Director of UX & Digital Capabilities, and partners with merchandising, experience strategy, content design, product management, and technology.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Converse is looking for a design leader who can run a team and still ship great work personally - a true player-coach. The ideal candidate combines deep craft in Figma and modern design tools with real people-management experience: setting goals, coaching growth, and owning performance for a small team, not just informal mentorship. E-commerce design experience is required. This role suits someone energized by both mentorship and hands-on craft.

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/product design, including 2+ years directly managing designers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • No specific certification required; portfolio-demonstrated expertise at an expert-level craft is accepted for leveling.
  • Experience partnering with SEO stakeholders to develop strategy - understanding how design and content decisions affect organic search performance.
  • Standard office environment.
