Job summary

Cambridge is seeking a User Experience Intern to support the UX and Product Design team in evolving and maintaining the enterprise design system. You will gain hands-on experience creating scalable UI components in Figma while developing skills in UI design, accessibility, collaboration, and systems thinking.

You will work with designers and engineers to deliver consistent experiences across Cambridge products. The program runs 11 weeks (May–July) with a paid internship in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing UX/UI or related field with a digital/UI focus.
• Strong working knowledge of Figma and a portfolio demonstrating UI design skills.
• Understanding of design system principles, reusable components, and accessible experiences.
• Collaborate effectively in a team and incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review and refine reusable UI components to improve usability, accessibility, and consistency across Cambridge products.
• Create and maintain enterprise-scale design system components in Figma with scalable UI patterns.
• Support design system documentation and usage guidelines for consistent component usage.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to understand cross-functional development of cohesive digital experiences.
• Use the Cambridge Enterprise Design System, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools to support design exploration and execution.
