Job Description:
- As an Accessibility UX Program Manager for Commerce, you will combine expert program management skills with a passion for user experience to help the Commerce product area improve and launch products used by billions of users.
- You’ll define the program to design, develop, test, and launch products that are helpful and useful to all users across the Shopping, Merchant, and Payment product areas.
- You’ll create cross-team relationships and awareness, develop actionable insights, and ensure programs meet deadlines and company-wide OKRs, scaling and leading a deeply impactful program for clients and users.
Responsibilities:
- Scale processes that reduce user-impacting issues and improve the efficiency of design workflows.
- Support design teams to improve the quality of accessibility documentation by sharing resources on best practices across the organization.
- Identify team needs regarding process, tools, documentation, and asset management.
- Lead and collaborate to review new features during early design, development, and launch stages.
- Make difficult prioritization decisions given limited time and resources.
- Communicate vision and progress to key stakeholders throughout the company.
- Provide leadership and operational excellence across teams to deliver trust-building and strategic counsel.
- Act as an internal advocate for users with disabilities and as a representative for Accessibility and UX in cross-functional collaborations with Engineering and Product Management teams, ensuring interdependencies are understood and planned for.
Mandatory:
- Demonstrated and experienced program management skills, with the ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives. 5+ years of Program Management experience. Experience with accessibility.
- Familiarity with UX design, user research, and user-centered development to drive impactful work across UX organizations.
- Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, braille displays, magnifiers, switch access, head tracking, voice control).
- Familiarity with design systems and accessibility documentation.
- Strong understanding of UX design principles.
- Experience managing product and front-end engineering.
- Ability to build strong relationships, work cross-functionally, and manage multiple projects.
- Focus on integrating accessibility into the product development process.
- Exemplary communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to advocate for accessibility from both product and technical perspectives.
- Skilled in creating clarity from ambiguity and leading without authority.
Education:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
