Tonkin Reconditioning Center in Portland is seeking a dedicated UVI Technician to perform detailed used vehicle inspections and light reconditioning before vehicles join our dealerships. You will document condition, recommend repairs, and collaborate with reconditioning and service teams to keep workflow steady.

No OEM certifications required; candidates with automotive knowledge, attention to detail, and a clean driving record are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Automotive service or inspection experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform Used Vehicle Inspections (UVIs) following Tonkin standards and procedures
• Accurately document vehicle condition, needed repairs, and recommendations
• Conduct basic reconditioning tasks as assigned
• Coordinate with the reconditioning and service teams to ensure timely vehicle flow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and workflow processes
