Job summary

GPA Global | Packaging & Gifting seeks an Offline UV Sakurai Operator to set up, adjust, and safely run UV finishing equipment, primarily the Sakurai silkscreen press. The role ensures finished products meet customer specs and quality standards while maintaining efficient production rates.

Responsibilities include setup, calibration, proofing, production monitoring, quality control, unloading, troubleshooting, maintenance, record keeping, and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of UV finishing experience preferred, especially with Sakurai silkscreen presses.
• Ability to read and understand job tickets.
• Basic math and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work within department standards and pay attention to detail.
• Teamwork and ability to work overtime.
• Physical requirement: lift up to 30 lbs; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Install and calibrate screens, squeegees, flood bars, and stock on the Sakurai press; manage feeders and stackers.
• Job Preparation: Verify size, color, and UV specifications from job orders; gather screens, squeegees, and supplies.
• Proofing & Approval: Print proofs, check registration and color accuracy, obtain supervisor approval before production.
• Production Monitoring: Maintain optimum production rate, color density, registration, and quality; collect samples as required.
• Quality Control: Monitor registration, cutting, scoring, and overall quality; perform adjustments as needed.
• Unloading & Palletizing: Remove materials and stack on pallets; manage scrap disposal.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine issues; notify supervisor if unresolved.
• Maintenance: Perform minor press repairs; maintain cleanliness and follow lubrication schedules.
• Record Keeping: Complete production records and required paperwork.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
