The company operates five material facilities globally, offering extensive capabilities such as extrusion, lamination, metallization, coating, packaging, and converting.The Griff Network is dedicated to customer satisfaction through quality products and expert services, continually developing new patent products to meet evolving needs.Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable, safety focused, and mechanically inclined UV Coater Operator with direct silicone coating experience to join our GAL division. Previous hands-on experience applying silicone coatings on continuous web processing equipment is required.The UV Coater Operator will set up, operate, monitor, adjust, clean, and complete changeovers on a continuous web UV cationic coating line used to manufacture silicone coated paper, film, release liners, and other flexible materials. Responsibilities include preparing materials, threading the line, monitoring coating and curing conditions, completing roll changes, troubleshooting routine equipment concerns, and maintaining accurate production records.Experience with UV cationic silicone coatings and ultraviolet curing equipment is strongly preferred.Key Responsibilities:High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Previous¨NBSP;hands-on experience operating silicone coating equipment is required.Candidates must have experience applying silicone coatings to paper, films, release liners, or other continuous web materials.Experience with silicone release coatings, silicone coated release liners, UV cationic silicone, thermal silicone, solventless silicone, and other silicone coating systems is required.Direct experience with UV cationic coatings, UV curable silicone materials, ultraviolet curing systems, release liners, adhesives, paper, film, or flexible material manufacturing is strongly preferred.Strong continuous web processing knowledge, including coating applications, machine setup, web threading, roll changes, tension control, coating weight adjustments, curing, and process monitoring.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience completing machine setups, equipment adjustments, product changeovers, cleaning, and routine troubleshooting.Familiarity with UV curing concepts such as lamp output, exposure, curing intensity, line speed, cooling, shielding, and safety interlocks is preferred.Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment is preferred.Basic math, reading, measurement, computer, communication, and production documentation skills with the ability to follow coating formulas, specifications, safety instructions, and standard operating procedures.Dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to participate in UV coating training, equipment trials, process improvements, cross training, and continued technical development.Qualifications:Direct hands-on experience operating silicone coating equipment in a continuous web manufacturing environment is required. The position requires the ability to regularly lift to 50 pounds and push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with or without assistance.The employee must be able to work for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that may include noise, heat, ultraviolet curing equipment, production chemicals, and moving machinery.
