It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.POSITION SUMMARY:The Production Handler – Coatings Removal works as a member of the Coatings Removal team adhering to productivity standards in accordance with company prescribed safety and quality.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prioritizing daily tasksLoads and unloads ovens and tanksProcesses product though chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operationsPackages product for shipmentComplies with the benchmark processing timesRotates parts from the stripping process to the wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing areaPower wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washerLoad hand baskets and rotate parts from one basket to the otherIdentify and sort parts to download into containersReposition partsComplete wash logs, oven logs, and weight chartsOperate scalesStart burn off oven and dry-off ovenParticipates in continuous improvement activitiesAdhere to all safety policies and proceduresEnsuring highest level of safety standardsEffectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customersGeneral housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areasComply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company proceduresFollow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and proceduresFollow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materialsFostering a positive work environmentRegular and sustained attendancePerform other duties as assigned or neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience [prior certification preferred]Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., safety rules, operating, etc.)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate well with the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, employees, contractors, vendors, customers, and senior leaders.Proficient with writing routine reports and correspondencesBasic mathematical aptitude (i.e., fractions, decimals, compute rate, ration, and percents, interpret bar graphs, etc.)Experience troubleshooting and solving practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsExperience with warehouse management softwareProficient in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365]Demonstrated experience adhering to deadlinesKnowledge of tools and equipmentExcellent customer service skillsWorking knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations preferredA professional and positive attitudeAble to lift 50 lbs.Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Standing and /or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift.Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Experience in the Coatings Removal industry a plus!ED UCATION QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED equivalentDuBois provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, service in the military, veteran status, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable federal, state, and/or local law and/or regulation.
