Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced UUV Operations & Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Technician to support Navy unmanned undersea vehicle programs. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, assist with logistics, and support launch/recovery and open-water operations in a field environment.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical maintenance, the ability to read/interpret technical docs, and the capability to obtain a Secret clearance, with on-site work at Port

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or operational support.
• Ability to read, interpret, and edit technical documentation and drawings.
• Ability to work on-site at Port Hueneme.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time within and outside of continental United States.
• Ability to move equipment up to 50 lbs during maintenance, launch and recovery, and field operations.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on UUV mechanical systems and support equipment.
• Assist with material handling, inventory, and logistics for operational assets.
• Support vehicle launch, recovery, pier-side evolutions, and open-water operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform component-level repairs.
• Read, interpret, and edit technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and mechanical drawings.
• Document maintenance actions and assist in readiness and field events.
• Maintain contractor and government owned tooling required for UUV maintenance and operations.
