Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an UUV Operations & Maintenance Engineering Technician to support Navy unmanned undersea vehicles. The role involves hands-on maintenance, field operations, and coordination to ensure vehicle readiness, with up to 25% travel for fleet technical assistance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in electronics and electrical maintenance, can read technical documentation, and are able to obtain a Secret clearance. A HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electronics and electrical maintenance, repair, or operational support including Navy unmanned maritime systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and edit technical documentation and drawings.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within and outside of continental United States to support onsite fleet technical assistance.
• Ability to move and position equipment during maintenance, launch and recovery, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on UUV electronics, electrical systems, and support equipment.
• Assist with material handling, inventory, and logistics for operational assets.
• Support vehicle launch, recovery, pier-side evolutions, and open-water operations.
• Troubleshoot electronics and electrical issues and perform component-level repairs.
• Read, interpret, and edit technical documentation, maintenance procedures, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Document maintenance actions and assist in readiness and field events.
• Maintain contractor and government-owned tooling required for UUV maintenance and operations.
• Support fleet technical assistance and travel as required.
