Avenues Recovery Center in New Jersey is seeking a Utilization Review Specialist to join our corporate team. You will support authorizations, clinical documentation integrity, and continuity of care across our network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Nursing background, clinical background or healthcare knowledge strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilization Review & Authorization Management: Field incoming calls, emails, and documentation requests related to client authorizations.
• Clinical & Billing Collaboration: Work with billing and clinical teams to identify and resolve authorization issues and communicate with facility leadership.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic records of UR activity and ensure documentation meets payer requirements.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Create standardized UR templates and workflows across facilities and support efficiency initiatives.
