Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, a 140-bed hospital, provides inpatient psychiatric services for diverse patient groups. The UR Coordinator role involves coordinating admission and continued stay reviews and serving as a liaison with on-site external reviews.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the treatment team, intake and business office processes, and adherence to utilization review practices to support patient care and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky (RN or LPN) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
• Experience in Utilization Management preferred.
• Current CPR or BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Able to work independently and collegially with all clinical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission and continued stay reviews for the patient population.
• Obtain admission information from Intake and verify benefits from the Business Office.
• Review chart and conduct concurrent reviews with third party payors.
• Communicate results of reviews to the treatment team and liaison to external reviews.
