Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or Psychology required.
• Minimum of 2 years of utilization review experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of case management experience, including discharge planning.
• CCM or ACM preferred; BLS and HWC may be required.

Responsibilities

• Filing documents as needed.
• Initial precertification with payors.
• Concurrent clinical review with payors.
• Document in the electronic system daily.
• Admission audit and ensure CON/RON and CMS certifications.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication with staff and patients.
• Keep up with trends; read journals and attend seminars.
• Protect health information and comply with policies.
