Job summary

Impact Advisors is seeking a Utilization Review/Utilization Management Lead to guide day-to-day UM operations for healthcare clients. You will work with clinical, revenue cycle, and physician leaders to improve review productivity, reduce denials, and align with payer requirements.

Responsibilities include leading operational assessments, establishing performance metrics, and designing scalable improvements, while leveraging Lean/Six Sigma methods and analytics to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field required.
• 7+ years in healthcare operations, utilization management, care management, revenue cycle, or performance improvement.
• 3+ years leadership experience managing operational teams or consulting engagements.
• Strong understanding of UM operations, patient throughput, care coordination, and reimbursement.
• Experience leading operational improvement initiatives in provider, payer, or consulting settings.
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational assessments of UM, case management, patient throughput, and care coordination.
• Evaluate current-state workflows, staffing models, and performance metrics.
• Design scalable improvements to increase efficiency and service delivery.
• Direct daily UM operations including work distribution and coverage.
• Promote consistent application of medical-necessity criteria and level-of-care status.
• Analyze utilization patterns and monitor KPI performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports for executive stakeholders.
• Lead team coaching and contribute to playbooks and training.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
