POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with rental returns and rental checkouts.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets all customers immediately upon arriving.
  • Checks equipment in or out as needed.
  • Verifies that equipment is in good mechanical and safe operating condition upon being taken out or being returned.
  • Responsible for red tagging equipment that is in need of repair.
  • Responsible for adding oil, adding air, cleaning, replacing minor parts and accessories to equipment.
  • Places equipment ready for rent in the proper location and in uniform position.
  • Assists drivers with loading/unloading and unchaining trailers as necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
SKILLS
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write service reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School GED and two years’ construction equipment and rental experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV driving report.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range 21.39 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
