Job summary

Holt of California in Elk Grove, CA seeks a skilled equipment technician to repair and maintain rental fleet. You will greet customers in the yard, perform light maintenance, and handle service reports and parts orders.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of equipment experience, with a valid Class C DMV license and clean driving record. This is an on-site role with opportunities to work on a wide range of machinery.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN ELK GROVE, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY

Repairs and maintains all types of rental equipment by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets, assists and directs customers in yard area.
• Clean equipment when necessary on rental returns and rental check-outs.
• Performs light maintenance on equipment.
• Performs PM maintenance and other required services as required.
• Requires working knowledge of ignition system, lights, and instrument panels.
• Repairs and adjusts headlights, installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers.
• Back-up for yard personnel as needed.
• Writes service reports.
• Orders parts when necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write service reports.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school or GED and/or two years of equipment experience are required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license class C or higher and a clean D.M.V. report.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range 23.00 to $25.00 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
