Utility Worker - Night Shift

Job summary

Einstein is seeking a custodial professional for the night shift to provide cleaning and maintenance services at the facility in New York. You will sweep, mop, wax floors, clean bathrooms, and handle debris removal as part of a daily routine.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating standard maintenance equipment, and communicating effectively with occupants. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with pay detailed under the contract.

Qualifications

• HS. Diploma required. 0-6 months of experience required.
• Must have experience in general porter duties and knowledge of the proper work procedures and the proper use of equipment.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively.
• Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture, supplies, etc. up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment with standard training including but not limited to: hand trucks, vacuums, floor burnishers, etc.
• Has a general knowledge of various cleaning/maintenance chemicals and application therein.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor.

• Heavy vacuuming, cleaning and mopping of all bathrooms

• Move furniture, equipment, etc.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.
