Job summary

City of Pasadena is seeking a skilled municipal worker to install water lines, insert taps, install meters, and repair fire hydrants, while maintaining required licenses and following safety protocols.

You will work with a team, comply with city attendance policies, and perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
• Must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Install new water meters and repair fire hydrants.

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Working with co-workers as a team in installation of water lines, insertion of taps on water lines, installation of new water meters, installation and repairs of fire hydrants and any other assigned duties. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Position may require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time
