Qualifications

Job description

Utility Worker - Fairfax

Transdev in Fairfax County is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Transdev is proud to offer:

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

  1. Starting pay at $21.30 /hr
  2. Pay increase on 12/1/25 to $22.37

Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior.
  2. Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles.
  3. Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids.
  4. Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes.
  5. Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
  6. Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  7. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
  3. Preference for a CDL A or B with a Passenger endorsement.
  4. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  2. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  3. Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
