Job summary

LBA Hospitality seeks a motivated dishwasher to support kitchen operations at our Atlanta property. You will be responsible for cleaning dishes, maintaining an organized station, and supporting food safety and sanitation standards.

Requires a basic high school education; experience in lodging or care facilities is a plus. This on-site role offers opportunity for advancement to bartender/ server tracks, with potential for growth within the hotel.

Qualifications

• Food Handling certification preferred
• Experience in similar capacities: lodging, housing, hospitals, care facilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain clean dishwashing station.
• Operate dish machine and related cleaning equipment.
• Keep kitchen utensils, dishes and flatware clean and organized.
• Maintain storerooms and clean work areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with guest issue handling and housemen duties when assigned

PREREQUISITES

Company associates have access to guestrooms and property. As such, character traits of honesty and trustworthiness are essential to this position and must be displayed at all times. Per company policy, potential associates must pass appropriate security clearances.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handling certification preferred

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
• Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

• Proper cleaning, organization and handling of dishes, flatware and kitchen utensils.
• Keeping sanitation and cost controls.

• Chemicals and water temperatures.

Specific Responsibilities

• Set up work station as required: dish machine, chemical levels, presoak.
• Operate equipment as manufacturer intended to include: cleaning, wiping outside of machines, requesting maintenance assistance for repairs and temperatures etc.
• Clean equipment such as hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens and grills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including storerooms.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• May set up meeting rooms if applicable, handle guest issues and housemen duties when assigned.
• Other duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable of performing as needs arise in the hotel.

Working Conditions/Special Requirements

• This position requires a physical presence at the hotel and is not conducive of telecommuting or remote work.
• Standing, walking for long periods of time while maintaining a friendly professional image.
• May be required to work any day/shift, including weekends.
