Responsibilities

• Keep areas clean and safe; support 5S housekeeping.

We are open Sunday - Friday. Some overtime is mandatory, and w ork hours may be adjusted for necessary business reasons, e.g. training, order demand.

• - 1st Shift 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
• - Utility Workers are responsible for a variety of tasks including general labor across the plant, supporting the production process, and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• - Assists in various stages of production process, including mixing, blending, pouring, and packaging chemicals and chemical products. Records required information on the batch sheet.
• - Reviews drumming sheets. Locates drums, kegs, totes, and pails as needed for orders. Transports items to filling area via forklift.
• - Performs quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• - Monitors inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, reporting discrepancies, and assisting in inventory counts as needed.
• - Maintains accurate records and documentation related to production activities and quality control checks.
• - Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeepingin the facility according to 5S.
• - Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• - High school diploma or GED required. Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• - Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to read, write and speak English.
• - Basic math skills required.
• - Good problem-solving ability; makes efficient use of time within shift directives.
• - Ability to be trained and safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods between departments and warehouses. Minimum 1 year experience.
• - Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
• - Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
• - Ability to meet physical demands of a fast-paced work environment.
