Daubert Chemical Company in Forest View, IL is seeking a dedicated Utility Worker to support production and material handling in our fast-paced plant. You will assist in various production tasks, perform quality checks, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

We offer $21.00/hour base pay, annual increases, referral bonus up to $1,500, benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision), 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, and paid training with safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Forklift operation with minimum 1 year experience.
• Team player and dependable with good attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 70–100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in production stages including mixing, blending, pouring, and packaging chemicals; records batch information.
• Locates drums, kegs, totes, and pails; transports items to filling area via forklift.
• Performs quality control checks on materials and products to ensure specifications.
• Monitors inventory levels; reports discrepancies and assists in counts.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of production activities.
• Performs cleaning and housekeeping tasks; follows 5S and safety rules; uses PPE as required.
• Follows all SOPs and safety instructions; participates in safety trainings.

We are open Sunday - Friday. Some overtime is mandatory, and work hours may be adjusted for necessary business reasons, e.g. training, order demand.

• 1st Shift 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
• Utility Workers are responsible for a variety of tasks including general labor across the plant, supporting the production process, and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in various stages of production process, including mixing, blending, pouring, and packaging chemicals and chemical products. Records required information on the batch sheet.
• Reviews drumming sheets. Locates drums, kegs, totes, and pails as needed for orders. Transports items to filling area via forklift.
• Performs quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Monitors inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, reporting discrepancies, and assisting in inventory counts as needed.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation related to production activities and quality control checks.
• Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeeping in the facility according to 5S.
• Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or GED required. Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Good problem-solving ability; makes efficient use of time within shift directives.
• Ability to be trained and safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods between departments and warehouses. Minimum 1 year experience.
• Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
• Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
• Ability to meet physical demands of a fast-paced work environment.
