Job Description Utility Worker Req Id: 11326 Job Location: Sagola Posting Start Date: 3/6/25 Work Environment: Onsite

Job Purpose

To maintain mill area and equipment in clean, safe operating condition. This position is transitional with the goal of succession in a crew position working a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint surfaces using specified products and cleanup techniques.
• Maintain lawn and landscaping in neat, orderly condition.
• Maintain and operate fire extinguishers as needed.
• Clean equipment such as burners, blenders, conveyors, E-tubes, and RTO using personal protective equipment and established procedures.
• Operate forklift and bobcat to move, load, and unload materials.
• Install and remove bag house bags.
• Operate manlift for cleaning, painting, and maintenance at high areas.
• Perform general plant maintenance activities like sweeping, shoveling, wiping, and washing.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Train in assigned areas to cover vacancies and vacations on crews.

Qualifications for Success

• Forklift license.
• Good eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of manlift and bobcat operation.
• Knowledge of safe operation of hand and air tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, fire extinguishers, paint, and cleaning products.
• Ability to work rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule (days/nights).
• Ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive environment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

Exposure to all climate temperatures in a manufacturing setting, including heights and confined spaces.
