Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member in Michigan to assist with daily retail tasks and customer service. You will help with cart retrieval, store cleanliness, and coordinating with departments to ensure smooth store operations.

The role offers exposure to a variety of store tasks, a learning-oriented environment, and opportunities for growth within a large regional retailer.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrances, check lanes and parking areas.
• Coordinate with departments such as Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal & Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
