Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks in our store. You will help with additional services, customer service, and everyday store operations while delivering above-and-beyond service to customers.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers learning and advancement opportunities within a family-oriented company.

• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
