Job summary

Meijer in the United States is seeking an entry-level Cart Attendant to support store operations and provide friendly, above-and-beyond customer service. You will be responsible for keeping carts organized and returning them to the store, while assisting in trash collection and basic cleaning tasks around the store.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment as needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments across Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal & Floral.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.

• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
