Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks an entry-level team member to gain exposure to retail tasks across store operations, customer service, and service desk interactions. This position emphasizes above-and-beyond customer service and teamwork in a busy store environment.

The role includes freestanding responsibilities across cart maintenance, trash collection, snow removal, returns, cleaning, and coordination with various departments to ensure a clean, organized store experience for customers.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Assist with basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Coordinate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
