Position Summary : Under general supervision, is responsible for the washing and sanitizing of dishes, silverware, utensils, pots and pans used by the kitchen in service of residents and personnel.

Qualifications :

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to remain flexible and ready to assume other responsibilities assigned.
• Applicant must have an interest in improving skills.
• Must have a working knowledge of dishwashing machine and procedures used to wash dishes in a large kitchen.
• Applicant must be willing to perform manual work cooperatively with others.

Physical Requirements :

• Requires standing for long periods, walking and heavy lifting.

Exposure to Conditions :

• May walk on wet surfaces. Will work with cleaning chemicals and hot water.
