Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking a vegetation planning professional to contribute to planning and analysis across Southern Indiana. The role emphasizes field research, right-of-way inspections, and data collection using handheld devices to support utility projects.

The position requires ISA certification or progress toward it, Indiana technician licensing, and the ability to travel. Strong communication and safe-work practices are essential for success in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Related field experience.
• ISA Certified, or certification within 6 months.
• Registered Technician with the State of Indiana or hold a commercial applicator license.
• Ability to work safely.
• Read GIS data and maps; work independently.
• Leadership experience and career growth will be given priority.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel across the utility service area.

Responsibilities

• Successfully contribute to all aspects of vegetation management planning and analysis.
• Utilize innovative technology and practices to help major electric utility providers deliver safe and reliable power and maintain national security.
• Perform property owner research and landowner notifications.
• Inspect and assess vegetation in right of ways for compliance standards and construction work plans.
• Identify tree and brush control work and protection zone recommendations.
• Attend meetings and trainings as requested.
• Collect data and document work using hand-held computers; assess terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions, & support UVM projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Planners, and Vegetation Crews to create customized solutions.
