The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic utility tree trimmer to join our outdoor team in Dade City, FL. The role focuses on climbing and pruning trees for major electric utility providers, using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems and operating equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide and related licenses/certificates, if required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees for major electric utilities.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other structures.
• Identify trees according to industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of an active crew with ground support and foreperson.
