Job summary

EMA Inc. seeks a Technology & Innovation Consultant who combines technical depth with curiosity to help water utilities understand challenges, evaluate opportunities, and implement practical technology solutions that improve operations and strengthen cybersecurity.

You will connect technical findings to people, processes, and operational needs, collaborating across EMA’s disciplines to deliver value and support informed decisions for clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply technology to solve operational problems.
• Ability to work across IT/OT and disciplines.
• Experience communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Cybersecurity, data quality, and responsible AI awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define problems with clients and identify opportunities to improve performance through technology.
• Assess IT/OT environments and recommend cybersecurity, reliability, and integration improvements.
• Support technology planning, cybersecurity assessments, and policy development with client teams.
• Develop or integrate digital tools and data workflows to improve access to information and decision making.
• Evaluate opportunities to use AI and analytics responsibly with data protection and human review.
• Translate findings into clear recommendations and actionable implementation plans.
• Collaborate across EMA disciplines to align technology with operations and client goals.
• Contribute to project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals while delivering quality work.
• Build strong client relationships by listening and identifying needs beyond the assignment.
