Job summary

Grede Holdings LLC is seeking a Utility Technician/Painter to join their team, responsible for housekeeping, maintenance, and minor repairs within the plant. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and the physical capability to perform various tasks. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefit package and a $1500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

First Shift Hours 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday through Friday)

Hourly Pay $19.47

Under the supervision of the CI Coordinator, the Utility Technician/Painter performs tasks which include housekeeping and maintenance functions of designated employee use areas, office areas, and grounds. Performs any other required duties to ensure overall maintenance cleanup of designated areas in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.

What You'll Do:

  • General sweeping and upkeep of plant areas not covered by any specific department. Areas included will be aisleways, entrances and exits, loading docks, outdoor areas or any other areas designated by management.
  • Painting, dusting, cleaning and organizing of areas in the plant as directed by plant supervision.
  • Assist with plant improvement focused activities such as 5S.
  • Floor Maintenance as needed – strip, buff and wax, replace tiles, clean carpeting.
  • General seasonal activities such as snow removal, parking lot striping, window washing, power washing, etc.
  • Any other minor repairs or maintenance tasks as designated by supervision.

What We Need from You:

  • Minimum of completion of tenth (10) grade high school.
  • Maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to comprehend written and verbal directions.
  • Must possess physical capability to move freely throughout work areas, stand, walk, bend, use ladders, operate hand and powered equipment, and lift fifty pounds periodically.
  • Must be trained in chemical procedures and safety, PPE requirements and use, and any other safety requirements for employment at Grede, LLC.
