Qualifications

  • Good time management and ability to follow orders.
  • Ability to operate basic tools.
  • Learn and operate BMS, Dock Door/Leveler, Dust Collector, Exhaust Fan maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness of machine components using hose, airguns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances.
  • Disassemble machines and replace or repair parts using chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
  • Inspect machines to identify defective parts or needed repairs and report to supervisors.
  • Replace, fix or realign machine parts per production specs.
  • Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials as per procedures.
  • Reassemble machine parts after maintenance work.
  • Remove hardened material from components using tools.
  • Follow Hanwha Q CELLS policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Have general knowledge of electrical components and motor control.
  • Have general knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems.

Summary

The Utility Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and building systems. This includes inspecting machinery, addressing mechanical issues, and performing routine upkeep to support production and safety standards.

Utility Technician

Reports to: Utility Manager

Location: Dalton, GA

Schedule: Swing Schedule

Responsibilities
  • Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, airguns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances
  • Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using chain falls, hand tools and jacks
  • Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
  • Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
  • Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
  • Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work
  • Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools jack and sledgehammer, abrasive and other appliances
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management
  • Have general knowledge of electrical components and motor control
  • Have general knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems
Required Qualifications
  • +1 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
  • +1 years knowledge of mechanical maintenance and electrical process
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
  • Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
  • Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
  • Ability to handle basic tools
  • Learn how to operate the BMS System, Dock Door/Leveler Maintenance, Dust Collector Maintenance, Exhaust Fan maintenance, Humidifiers and Highspeed Doors
  • Strong knowledge of safety precautions
  • Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
  • Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
